WT shear connection
I have a project with many connections using a WT shear connection for a beam to an HSS column. Is there a way to create a custom connection like this?

DXF plate files
That works great, Philippe!
Is there any way to make the thickness appear in inch format? Even if there was a way to enter a formula to convert thickness from mm to inches it would be good to have.
Thanks again,

DXF plate files
Does anyone know how to add another line of text on DXF plate files that specifies plate thickness and plate grade? Presently, the only text available is the part number. -
Problems with Management Tools in Advance Steel 2012
I just installed Advanced Steel 2012 and Advance Steel Management Tools 2012. I have also installed service packs 1 & 2 for AS2012. When I tried to convert the databases from AS2011 using the Advance Manager for 2012, I received an error message telling me "The type initializer for 'DotNetRoots.DatabaseAccess.AstorSettings' threw an exception.
After trying the bolt editor and anchor bolt editor, I also received similar error messages.
I have tried repairing both Advance Steel and the Advance Manager to no avail. Uninstalling both programs and reinstalling them did no good either.
I am using Windows XP Pro 64 bit with 8 MB ram. Advance Steel 2011 and Advance Manager 2011 work great. Any ideas out there?
Thanks!

STAIR RAILING
It would be good if a future update would include options to manipulate position and rotation of angle posts. Right now, the only option I see is to make manual changes.

What is the best way of creating a W36x302 beam size?
I used the "User Section" method for creating this new beam type. It works almost as well as a wide flange beam already in the data base. It would not, however, accept web stiffeners. They had to be added manually by copying from the web stiffeners in a W36x300 and lengthening them by 5/8". -
What is the best way of creating a W36x302 beam size?
What is the best way of creating a W36x302 beam size? The data base has a W36x300 but I am required to have a W36x302. The W36x302 is 5/8" deeper than the W36x300.
I am using Advance 2010 for this project.
Thanks!
